Ceramic Fiber Ropes are made from alumina-silica ceramic fiber and are free of asbestos. These ropes can be used in industrial applications under temperatures up to 1260°C (2300 ºF), offering excellent chemical stability, strong resistance to thermal shock, and corrosion attack. They contain 15% organic carriers which burn out at approximately 400 °C, and enforcement materials like Inconel wire or fiber filament for enhanced durability.
| Chemical Composition | Square & Round Braided | Twisted Rope |
|---|---|---|
| Al2O3 | 46% | 46% |
| SiO2 | 53% | 53% |
| Fe2O3 | 0.8% | 0.9% |
