Raw material: High-temperature boards, felts, and papers.
General insulation: Infill for roofs and walls of furnaces and kilns.
Packing: Expansion joints, patching and emergency repairs in furnaces, boilers, heaters.
Sealing: Around penetrations in furnace, heaters and boiler walls, e.g. tubes, burners and sight holes.
Ceramic fiber bulk is manufactured from high purity alumina-silica powder and silica sand through special production processes of spinning or blowing. Bulk fibers are available in a variety of chemistries and diameters which can service a wide variety of applications. These fibers can be further modified by chopping or by removal of the unfiberized particles (shot). Lubricants can also be added to enhance properties.
As crucial materials for producing ceramic fiber blankets, boards, and modules, these bulks are loose, long, and flexible with fine thermal properties. Ceramic bulk fibers serve as an ideal filler for various types of refractory lining and insulation tools.
