The term Aluminosilicate Wool describes a family of synthetic vitreous fibers made from the fusion of alumina (Al2O3) and silica (SiO2). Our standard fibers maintain a balanced 45-55% alumina to silica ratio, while our high-alumina versions push this to 60%, allowing for service temperatures exceeding 1400°C.

Low-density blankets (64kg/m3) are excellent for simple wrapping, but industrial furnace linings require 128kg/m3 or higher to withstand the high-velocity airflow within combustion chambers. For the most extreme applications, such as 1600°C - 1700°C environments, we have expanded our production to include Polycrystalline fibers. These are formed through a "sol-gel" process rather than a melt-blown process, resulting in a micro-crystalline structure that eliminates the shrinkage typically seen in amorphous fibers at ultra-high temperatures.
