Deep-Dive: The Engineering of Ceramic Fiber Cloth

At the molecular level, our Ceramic Fiber Cloth is composed of high-purity alumina-silica fibers. These fibers are spun into yarns and then reinforced with either E-glass filament or Stainless Steel wire (SS304/SS310). This reinforcement is what allows the cloth to maintain its structural integrity even as it undergoes thermal expansion and contraction.
